Welcome & Goodbye

Use Welcome & Goodbye when members need a clear first message or a simple farewell.

Set up each delivery

1. Open Welcome & Goodbye in the dashboard.
2. Turn on Welcome message or Goodbye message.
3. Choose the channel and write a short plain message, embed, or both.
4. Use the available placeholders to personalise a welcome without exposing private information.
5. Save and check the preview.

You can keep a draft while a delivery is paused. This is useful for seasonal copy or a message you are still reviewing.

What members see

Welcome messages can greet people and bot accounts when they join. Goodbye messages acknowledge a departure. Keep both short and mobile-friendly, and do not reveal private channels or staff instructions.

Test with a real test account joining and leaving. If nothing posts, check the delivery switch, selected channel, and Guardy's channel permissions. See troubleshooting for broader checks.
