Server Counters

Use Server Counters to show live numbers in your channel list, such as "👥 Members: 1,234" or "🎯 Goal: 412 / 500". Each counter is a locked voice channel whose name Guardy keeps up to date. Every server gets one counter for free.

Set it up

  1. Open Server Counters in the Guardy dashboard.
  2. Let Guardy create a 📊 Server stats category with a Members counter (with Premium also Online and Boosts), or add counters one by one.
  3. For each counter, pick what it counts, change its name if you like, and choose full numbers (1,234) or short ones (1.2K).

Counter channels are voice channels that nobody can join, so they sit at the top of the category as labels. You can also turn a voice channel you already have into a counter.

What a counter can show

CounterWhat it counts
MembersEveryone in the server, people and bots
HumansMembers who are not bots
BotsBots in the server
OnlineMembers who are online, as estimated by Discord. It is the same number an invite to your server shows.
BoostsServer boosts
Boost levelThe server's boost level, 0 to 3
ChannelsChannels in the server
RolesRoles in the server
Members with a roleMembers who have the role you pick
GoalYour member count and the next goal, in steps you choose, for example 412 / 500

In a counter's name, {count} becomes the number, {goal} the next goal and {role} the role's name.

How often counters update

Guardy updates counters every 10 minutes. Discord allows only 2 name changes per channel every 10 minutes, so a counter that changed more often would be blocked by Discord. Guardy only renames a channel when its number has changed.

Plans

Free includes 1 counter of any type, including Online, Humans and Goal. Premium includes up to 25 counters per server. If a server moves back to Free, its oldest counter keeps updating and the others keep their last number until Premium returns. Guardy never deletes counter channels.

When something is missing

Guardy needs View Channel, Connect and Manage Channels on each counter channel. If a counter channel is deleted or Guardy cannot rename it, the dashboard says so next to that counter.

Privacy

Guardy stores each counter's settings and its last number. To count humans, bots and members with a role, Guardy reads the member list in memory; it does not store it. Read Privacy and data rights for the full boundary.
