Temp Voice
Use Temp Voice to give members their own voice rooms. A member joins a Join to create channel, Guardy makes a room for them and moves them in, and the room disappears when the last person leaves. The owner controls their room with buttons in its chat.
Set it up
- Open Temp Voice in the Guardy dashboard and choose Set up Temp Voice.
- Let Guardy create a Join to create channel, in a new category or one you pick, or choose a voice channel you already have.
- Optionally change the room name (
{username}becomes the member's name) and the default member limit. - Turn the module on. The next member who joins the hub gets a room.
Free includes 1 hub. Premium includes up to 10, for example one per game or team. Rooms are not counted.
How members use it
A member joins the hub. Guardy creates a room named after them in the same category, moves them in, and posts a control panel in the room's chat. Others join the room the normal way.
If the member already has a room, Guardy moves them back to it instead of making a second one. A member who hops in and out of the hub quickly waits a few seconds before the next room is made.
When the last person leaves, Guardy deletes the room.
Room controls
Only the room's owner can use the buttons. Anyone with Manage Channels in the server can too, so moderators can step in.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rename | Gives the room a new name. Discord allows 2 renames per 10 minutes per channel; Guardy tells you when you can rename again. |
| Limit | Sets how many people can be in the room, from 0 (no limit) to 99. |
| Lock / Unlock | Stops new people from joining. Everyone already in the room can stay and rejoin. |
| Hide / Show | Hides the room from the channel list. Everyone already in the room can still see it. |
| Kick | Disconnects a member and stops them rejoining this room. |
| Transfer | Hands the room to someone else in it. |
| Claim | Takes over a room whose owner has left. Anyone in the room can claim it. |
When something is missing
Guardy needs View Channel, Connect, Move Members and Manage Channels in the hub's category. If the hub or its category is deleted, or Guardy loses a permission there, the dashboard says so. If Discord refuses to create a room, for example because the category already holds 50 channels, the member stays in the hub and nothing else happens.
Servers that added Guardy before October 2026 may not have given it Connect. Most servers give Connect to everyone, so this usually works anyway. If it does not, the dashboard shows Connect as missing with a button to fix it.
Privacy
Guardy stores each hub's settings and, for each live room, its channel and the Discord id of its owner. A room's record is deleted together with the room. A member's data request includes the rooms they own; erasing them removes the owner from the room, which is then deleted when it empties. Read Privacy and data rights for the full boundary.
