Install Guardy

Add Guardy to a server you manage, then set up and test one feature.

Before you add Guardy

Use a Discord account that can add apps to the target server. To configure that server in the dashboard, your account also needs Manage Server or Administrator. Guardy itself does not need the Administrator permission for normal use.

Add Guardy

1. Use Guardy's official install link.
2. Select the server and review Discord's permission screen.
3. Open the Guardy dashboard, select that server, and choose your first feature from the quick start.
4. Turn the feature on, save or publish it, then test it in Discord with a member account and a staff account.

Give Guardy only the access it needs

Start with the permissions for the feature you are setting up. Depending on your choice, Guardy may need to see a channel, send a message, add a reaction, manage a message, attach a file, or manage a role, channel, or thread. You do not need every permission for every feature.

For any role feature, move Guardy's role above the roles it should give or remove. For Tickets, Server Protection, and Server Activity, make sure Guardy can see the staff channels you selected. A channel can have stricter rules than the server, so test in the actual channel people will use.

If the first test fails

Do not rely on an owner-only test because owners can bypass restrictions that affect members and moderators. If commands do not appear right away, check Discord's app-command permissions for that channel and restart Discord. Then use troubleshooting for the specific symptom.
